The owner, Pete Luckett, fell in love with the Azores while exploring the islands and acquired the farm in 2019. The agricultural practices here include a focus on long-term sustainability and capacity, and food security. <br \/>\r\nWe maintain a cistern of 60.000 litres of roof-collected rainwater &#8211; so important for the system of drip-irrigation we use in our hot, drier summers. Rainwater in the islands remarkably clear \u2013 all the better for cultivating the highest quality, naturally-grown produce.
