Farm Products

Idônea Farm has been cultivating local produce for over 100 years. The owner, Pete Luckett, fell in love with the Azores while exploring the islands and acquired the farm in 2019. Since then, he, along with local farmers and managers, has developed the property into a must-visit destination for food lovers visiting the islands.

Sustainable food production

The Azores are a model of sustainable food growing production. The agricultural practices here include a focus on long-term sustainability and capacity, and food security.
We maintain a cistern of 60.000 litres of roof-collected rainwater – so important for the system of drip-irrigation we use in our hot, drier summers. Rainwater in the islands remarkably clear – all the better for cultivating the highest quality, naturally-grown produce. We partner with other local farms for Hight quality natural fertilizer and crop management support
